1. Market Basket Analysis

The dataset in this project is taken from the online analytics hackathon hosted by Analytics Vidhya. It consists of attributes such as marital status, gender, product categories, purchase amount, and city demographics. The dataset contains 12 columns and 537577 records.

Different supervised machine learning models like Linear Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and XGBoost algorithms are implemented in this project. RMSE is used in this project as a way to measure the errors in the machine learning models.

Neal Mohan, an Indian-American business expert, will take over as YouTube’s next CEO (chief executive officer) from Susan Wojcicki, who formerly worked for Alphabet.

With this promotion, Mohan will join an elite group of Indian-born global tech leaders that includes Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google and Alphabet, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, and Arvind Krishna of IBM.

As chief product officer, the new YouTube CEO had previously worked for Wojcicki. Prior to this, he represented the company on a number of talk shows, including the well-liked Lew Later (unbox therapy), where he discussed his upbringing and YouTube’s future objectives.

Mohan has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in addition to a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Siemens, the largest industrial producer in Europe, declared that it is one of the first businesses to issue a digital bond in Germany in compliance with the nation’s Electronic Securities Act, which went into effect in June 2021.

According to crypto media reports, the €60 million ($64 million) bond has a one-year maturity and is built on the public Polygon blockchain. When announcing the agreement on Tuesday, Siemens highlighted a few benefits of using a blockchain platform as opposed to more conventional techniques.

For instance, it eliminates the need for central clearance and paper-based global certificates. Furthermore, the bond can be offered directly to investors without the assistance of a bank.

Peter Rathgeb, corporate treasurer at Siemens AG, said, we can conduct transactions substantially faster and more efficiently than when issuing bonds in the past by moving away from paper and towards public blockchains for issuing securities.

According to Siemens, companies can issue blockchain-based digital bonds under Germany’s Electronic Securities Act. Additionally, the Act claimed that without using recognised central securities depositories, it had marketed the securities directly to investors.

In keeping with their shared goal of equipping the workforce of the future with skills for the future, Shell and Microsoft recently launched a partnership to teach students in vocational education institutions digital capabilities.

The project’s goal is to equip 5,000 underprivileged adolescents from 24 government institutions with digital productivity and employability skills and to get them ready for careers in the energy and manufacturing industries.

The nature of work is evolving, and productivity is being redefined across all industries, thanks to emerging technologies. A solid understanding of digital skills is necessary for job tasks across industries that, in the past, did not normally call for them.

Students in trades other than information technology will be able to improve their job-related abilities thanks to the addition of a digital curriculum to the training provided in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and polytechnics.

The program’s first phase will concentrate on raising awareness about digital employment opportunities across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi, and Maharashtra to enable livelihood opportunities for students in polytechnic fields, and ITI such as electrician, electrical engineering, and more.

Additionally, the effort will help these institutions improve their digital learning labs and increase faculty members’ capacity to maintain the program’s results. Each state will have the program implemented by SRF Foundation, which will also offer 240 hours of training that includes modules on data analytics and workplace sustainability.

UAE’s education minister announces to develop an AI tutor for students

UAE’s education minister, Ahmed Belhoul AI Falasi, announces to develop and launch of an AI tutor for students to enhance learning and education. He announced this during the World Government Summit held in Dubai from February 13th to 15th.

According to the announcement, the ministry will closely work with organizations like OpenAI, Microsoft, and other tech firms to develop and launch the new technological enhancement. As per the ministry, the latest technology will make learning more interactive for students and improve subject understanding.

The ministry will thoroughly review the education system from curriculum to delivery and assessment to chart a map for embedding AI tools across the board. As part of the review, the ministry will work on the different patterns to develop an AI-enabled tutor.

The AWS MDC is a cutting-edge technology offering that allows government entities to access AWS Outposts technology.
