Predictive intelligence company Windward announces the launch of its new “Russia” sanctions solution as a part of Windward’s Maritime AI platform.

Windward’s Maritime artificial intelligence-powered platform will enable every organization to configure, monitor, and adjust its practices in response to changing trade restrictions and business preferences.

According to the company, its solution allows stakeholders to understand the full scope of Russian-related trade, including cargo destinations and sources, allowing them to conduct business confidently and comply with new, rapidly evolving restrictions.
The development comes as an aftereffect of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war that has caused global powers, including the United States and the United Kingdom, to impose heavy economic sanctions on Russia to pressure it in stopping the war. Companies and vessels identified as being associated with Russia in the Windward database will be labeled as Moderate Risk in the platform.
