Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a suite of new offerings aimed at accelerating generative AI innovation. Among these releases, AWS highlights the general availability of “Amazon Bedrock,” a fully managed service that consolidates foundation models (FMs) from leading AI companies into a single API.
To provide customers with more options for FMs, AWS also disclosed the general availability of the “Amazon Titan Embeddings” model. Furthermore, “Llama 2” will soon be accessible as a new model through Amazon Bedrock, marking the first fully managed service to offer Meta’s Llama 2 via an API.
In addition, AWS revealed a forthcoming feature for Amazon CodeWhisperer. This AI-powered coding companion will securely customize code suggestions based on an organization’s internal codebase. To enhance the productivity of business analysts, AWS is introducing a preview of “Generative Business Intelligence (BI) authoring capabilities” for Amazon QuickSight.

This unified BI service, designed for the cloud, enables customers to create compelling visuals, format charts, perform calculations, and more by simply describing their needs in natural language. This array of innovations contributes to AWS’s efforts to provide customers with comprehensive generative AI solutions across various layers of the AI stack.
