Technology giant Google selects 16 startups in the 5th round of its Google for Startup Accelerator program (GFSA) in India. The company started inviting applications for this mentorship program in March 2021.
Google mentioned that it has precisely screened more than 700 applications before declaring the winners of this program. Google for Startup Accelerator is a free three months program that helps startups grow by allowing them to use Google’s high-end technologies.
Google also provides the best possible mentorship to the selected startups. Google has mentored over 80 startups till date through the previous rounds of the accelerator program.
Product Manager of Google for Startup Accelerator India, Paul Ravindranath G, said, “Like the last cohort, GFS Accelerator India continues to operate with an expanded scope of our three-month mentorship and support program for startups. We’ve included startups across maturity levels that are not only utilizing cutting edge tech but are meaningfully helping India, and potentially the world, adapt and move forward in this season.”
The selected 16 startups operate in various industries like fintech, healthcare, agritech, social, and education. The following is the list of selected startups — EkinCare, Goals101, OkCredit, Zypp Electrics, Nemocare Wellness, Bolo Live, Hypd, Yoda, Elo Elo, Bullet, Walrus, Aquaconnect, KareXpert, LegitQuest, and MedCords.
These startups will receive mentorship from Google in areas like UX and design, PR support, networking opportunities, machine learning support and will also get the opportunity to attend various leadership workshops.
Last year in the 4th round of the GFSA program, Google mentored 20 Indian startups to help them grow in the domestic and international market.
