On 22nd January 2025, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, officially released its Doubao-1.5-pro model through the Volcano Engine cloud platform.

ByteDance claims that the Doubao-1.5-pro model has surpassed OpenAI’s o1, GPT-4o, and Claude 3.5 Sonnet in several performance benchmarks, including AIME.

The model is built with a sparse Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture, along with a heterogeneous system design, to enhance its throughput and reduce latency.

Doubao-1.5-pro currently offers aggressive pricing for its 32k and 256k token models. Users can sign up on the Volcano Engine platform to access the model.
